There are several short walks around the village of Shotover that cover the CS Lewis Nature Reserve, across Shotover Plain to Shotover Estate and Shotover Country Park, where walkers can follow colour-coded walking trails.

A longer 7 mile route passes through countryside and the attractive stone village of Stanton St John and the grand Georgian Mansion of Woodperry House, built in 1728-31.

Shotover is a 25 minute drive from The Pointer.
