Stunning Scenery

Located in the beautiful Buckinghamshire village of Brill, The Pointer is a great base for exploring the surrounding countryside and local attractions. There are plenty of places to visit and we have chosen a few of our favourites below.  But should you just fancy a stroll down the road, Brill has plenty of stunning scenery to offer, right on its doorstep!

WADDESDON MANOR

Waddesdon Manor sits in 120 acres of grounds with stunning, formal Victorian gardens.  The impressive manor was built in the late 19th century in a Neo-Renaissance style by the Rothschild family. Now owned and maintained by the National Trust, it is open to the public and hosts many events and exhibitions throughout the year. The Manor hosts an impressive collection of paintings, furniture, tapestries and treasures. A 25 minute drive from The Pointer.

BLENHEIM PALACE

Blenheim Palace is an impressive baroque-styled country house in Woodstock and a designated UNESCO World Heritage site. Built in the early 18th Century, it sits in 2000 acres of parkland with formal and walled gardens. A 30 minute drive from The Pointer.

WATERPERRY GARDENS

Waterperry Gardens are home to 8 acres of beautifully landscaped ornamental gardens. There is a formal garden, walled garden, contemporary planting, rose garden and an arboretum. As well as a plant centre and garden shop, there is a gallery and gift shop, museum and tea shop. A 20 minute drive from The Pointer.
