The Pointer Farm is situated at the bottom of the brill hill in the neighbouring village of Ludgershall where we farm over 200 acres of permanent pasture. We farm to a very traditional standard to ensure we not only look after our livestock to the highest standards but also help our wildlife to thrive on our grass meadows by not using man made pesticides.

At The Pointer Farm we believe in naturally reared animals to deliver the best flavours from our meat. All our animals are born and reared on the farm with no intensive methods in practice, this allows them to grow at their own pace and enjoy a free-range and stress-free life.

The Pointer has chosen Breeds that are native to our country and those that we believe perform on grass alone which suits our land and farming method.

We now have over 150 pedigree Longhorn and Highland cattle, 9 very rare Middle White Pigs and a flock of Hampshire Down Sheep which provide meat all year round for The Butchers, Pub and and Restaurant.

Our Commitment to native breeds extends to competing nationally at all the major and local agricultural shows. We believe in producing high quality animals not only for the plate but for breeding to aid conservation. We have a great passion to keep rare breed numbers rising and promote the breeds we have here on our farm; where we hope you enjoy our gate to plate principles.
